Recording

'Chalet 1974'

I've enjoyed the craft of recording alongside songwriting, with limited access to studios, I spent time learning how to use the tech that was available to me.

Four track cassette recorders, MIDI computers, mixers into reel to reels, digital boards with hard disk recorders and ultimately interfaces and computers.

While my studios primary function has been to capture my own songs over the years,
I have been fortunate enough to work with other fantastic artists as a producer, helping bring their ideas to form. It is a fantastic joy to help realize the sounds and ways to bring form to the songs brought in.

My space where I work, known colloquially as the "Chalet 1974" we have been recording out of since "I'm attempting Clever". While we may seek out other locations for different sounds, using the mobile capabilities of the studio, it always ends up back at the 'Chalet'.

If you have a project that you feel might be a good fit here, feel free to use the contact and get in touch.

Friends of the Chalet

Here's some of the folks I have been fortunate to work with, producing their albums.

These are artists local to Kenora, (or at one time) so if you like what you hear, go to a gig, buy a T-shirt, and support local.
