BAND BIO:

Armed with a quick wit designed to distract the careful eye from the heart on its sleeve. Songs that might trade a cigarette for a story. Stories with a sad refrain, a three minute and thirty second made for tv movie.

Somewhere between folk rock and country lies the backbeat. There’s heartache on the tracks, blood harmonies on the horizon, a full moon pulling words like tides. A gathering of ghosts in a broken hotel.

 “His confidence as a writer is matched by his hangdog regret. But make no mistake- even as the band relates tales of numbed out melancholy, Procyshyn’s control over his songwriting is truly impressive” (Rachel Cholst - No Depression)

Mike Procyshyn is a singer songwriter, born and raised in Kenora, Ontario. A multi-instrumentalist and producer; his focus lies in the act of songwriting. The songs elevated with the sounds of his band, bringing blood harmonies and a backbeat.

2023’s “A Field Guide to Ghosts of Ontario” showcases his brand of Folk Rock. Blood harmonies brought to the fore with Lexie and Janine Alcock, respectively on guitar and bass. Ken Siira holding the line on the kit, all in service of the songs.

2025 has seen the vinyl release of "Stereomoon" ahead of the digital street date.

This album best described by the band in the liner notes of the album as follows;

There’s more smoke than stars. Streetlights no more than halos. Ash blowing in like snowflakes.

Forest fires down the line, and lightning in every rain cloud. No reprieve from the hot will of the summer.

There’s a hole in the sky where secrets sublimate. A piano missing keys like teeth, out of tune and creaking with minor chords. Birds stealing songs to carry south. Junebugs on the wing.

Two full moons in August, a Stereomoon of sorts.
